An Irish 10yo whiskey from Wm Cadenhead’s. Fruity, light and very drinkable. A vatting of two Hogsheads. Although this was distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2019 it has been bottled as a 10yo as the cask only spent 10 years maturing in Ireland – the remainder of it’s time it was in Campbeltown which legally doesn’t count towards maturation.
Vanilla with pineapple, almonds, peaches and lemongrass.
Creamy with tropical fruits, kiwi, papaya and passion fruit. Hints of mango and toffee sauce.
For something so fresh the finish is big and syrupy with bags of fruit. Dangerously drinkable.
