Scotland's Oldest Independent Bottler
Never-Chill Filtered, Never-Coloured
Everything Bottled in Campbeltown
Initially founded as Kilnflat, the distillery was renamed Glenburgie in 1871 by Charles Hay who was subletting at the time. This whisky has spent the last few years of maturation in a ruby port cask which has given the spirit a fresh, fruity character. The nose is sweet, with Turkish delight, strawberry tarts and red berry coulis. This develops into rose water, blackcurrant jam and Madeira cake on the palate. Notes of cranberries, plums and fresh-cut barley round off this dram.
