An excellent ord, cask adding to the whisky but still allowing the distillery DNA to shine.
6 in stock
Vibrant, quite a thick nose, vanilla pods, salted peanuts, traditional lemonade and chocolate flakes.
Creamy and chewy, lemony, strawberries and cream, bruised bananas and honeycomb icecream.
Lingering creaminess with orange blossom water, fresh ginger and lime pickle.
Nose – Berries and boiled sweets, baked (slightly caught) plums, leather jacket and deodorant. It has a fruity, clarty, waxy warmth that is very comforting.
Body – Warm and sort of sherried, travel sweets and the smell of damp car-carpet, crushed charcoal.
Finish – Medium, warm white wine, soft liquorice.
This is extremely good (the nose particularly), only the lack of luxury in the delivery knocks it down from an A⊕.
