Gaining its name from the mountain the distillery is situated at the foot of, Ben Nevis distillery was founded in 1825 by John McDonald. Matured in a combination of Bourbon and Oloroso hogsheads, this 13 year old whisky begins with notes of apricot marmalade, clootie dumpling and ginger on the nose. This follows through to notes of golden syrup and cardamom buns on the palate, finishing up with notes of cocoa and blackcurrants.
