Glen Elgin distillery typically produces whisky with a light fruity character which works well with a variety of cask types. The Cadenhead’s team felt that Manzanilla casks would add an interesting complexity to this expression. With just over a year spent in Manzanilla, notes of almonds, battenberg cake, salted caramel and melon have been welcomed.
